The Caribbean reef octopus is known for its abilities to disguise itself as well as being one of the most intelligent invertebrates. The octopuses are able to completely shift their colours instantaneously in order to match their surroundings. That is made possible due to specialized color cells called chromatophores. These sea animals are also able to control their surface and limbs in order to match the texture of the location they are, thus becoming more efficient in camouflaging.
