Canada’s Gold Maple Leaf (GML) bullion coin has a history of setting new purity standards for gold bullion coins. Initially launched as a .999 fine gold coin in 1979, the GML became the world’s first 99.99% pure gold bullion coin just three years later, in 1982, and our very first 99.999% pure gold bullion coin was introduced in 2007.

Your coin’s reverse features Walter Ott’s now-iconic Gold Maple Leaf (GML) bullion design set against radial lines that fill the inner portion, creating a dramatic sunburst finish behind the maple leaf. The Royal Canadian Mint is known as one of the most reputable mints in the world. The Ottawa Branch of the Royal Mint opened in 1908 and was renamed The Royal Canadian Mint in 1931 when control was transferred to the Canadian government.
