RADICAL RAT

Once known as Hamato Yoshi, Splinter is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ sensei, or ninjutsu teacher. Exposed to the same mutagenic ooze that transformed the TMNT into crime-fighting heroes, he is also the brothers’ adoptive father.

Splinter coaches his protégés in patience, discipline, and morality while being a formidable martial arts master himself. His strength, agility, and fiercely protective nature never fail in the face of danger.

COLOURED DESIGN

The coin portrays a coloured image of Splinter in a fighting pose with an explosive burst in the background. The design also includes the inscription ‘SPLINTER’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The coin’s obverse portrays the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
