Buy with Confidence
Before the introduction of the iconic toonies (the Canadian two-dollar coins featuring a polar bear), the Bank of Canada printed the official circulating legal tender for two dollars as paper money.
Most reputable numismatic grading organizations use the internationally recognized Sheldon grading scale, which ranges from 1 to 70 to grade coin conditions. The MS-67 (which stands for Mint State with a 67 grade) is one of the highest grades a coin may achieve. It’s alternatively referred to as Superb Gem Uncirculated.

The Canadian government discontinued the one-dollar bank note in 1986, replacing it with the popular loonies (one-dollar coins) in 1987. To mark this decision, they release the Birds of Canada collection of banknotes featuring birds that are native to the country.
