Specifications

Celebrate a wonderful wilderness area in southern Illinois while investing your savings in a hard asset.

Shawnee National Forest was created by President Roosevelt in 1939. Much of the land was exhausted farmland that was rehabilitated through the planting of new trees. The park includes several unique geographical areas, including the Little Grand Canyon which is over 200 feet deep.

The obverse of the coin features the John Flanagan effigy of George Washington, as it has appeared on US quarters since 1932.

The reverse features a red-tailed hawk soaring above Camel Rock with a variety of trees in the foreground.

The America the Beautiful series will eventually comprise 56 unique coins by the time the series is complete in 2021. These US Mint coins are a perfect way build your wealth in ounces by investing in a government minted product with a relatively low premium.

In multiples of 10 these coins ship in a tube. In multiples of 100 they ship in a US Mint monster box.
