On the reverse, a male bald eagle returns to his nest, bearing an olive branch while a female eagle and young eaglet await his return.

The mottos “In God, We Trust” and “E Pluribus Unum” can be seen on the field of the reverse.

The legend contains the country of issue, the coins weighting and denominational value.
