This beautiful matte proof silver coin features the musk ox which roams the tundra of the Canadian Arctic.

The modern musk ox is thought to have descended from ancestors in the Pleistocene Age, more than one million years ago. The Muskoxen crossed into northern Canada via the glaciers that covered much of the north. Canada and Greenland are the only two places were herds of wild muskoxen can be seen today. The musk ox gets it's name from the strong, musky odor emitted from an oil pouch on the male's head during mating season.

The reverse of this coin displays three muskoxen in a defensive posture walking towards us across the frozen tundra. A male is in the centre with females on either side, and they appear ready to fight off any danger that may approach them.

Limited mintage of only 45000 combined with a 100 dollar face value will ensure that this collectible is always in demand.

This coin comes in a full colour graphic box.
